photography

The South Carolina Lowcountry— spanning an area that reaches from Charleston to the Georgia State line —is home to miles of salt marsh, rivers, tidal creeks and coastal maritime forests that were once part of ancient sea coasts. Join expert photography instructor Bob Speare as you use this visually rich region as your background and to capture wildlife images with your camera— especially the birds that call the salt marshes of Lowcountry home.

Kayaking (learning & exploring)

This class discovers the meandering and sinuous beauty of South Carolina’s Lowcountry streams and rivers by kayak. The class is for those who wish to build confidence in their kayaking skills and stamina or those who have never kayaked before. It is an ideal combination of skill development and exploration.

sketching & painting

Practice your sketching/painting skills (oil or watercolor), or discover a new talent with the rich and diverse visual nature of the South Carolina Lowcountry as your subject.
